DUI defense Special Report

Route 93 DUI Lawyer

No matter where you may have arrested for a Route 93 DUI or OUI on the Route 93 Expressway, remember that just because you've been accused of operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, it doesn't automatically mean that you're guilty.  Police reports are only hearsay, and you have a constitutional right to face your accuser.

The first thing our DUI Lawyer will ask you is why you were pulled-over in the first place.  A police officer must state why he or she stopped you unless an accident was involved.  Even if you were weaving, crossing the center line, driving the wrong way on the street, or if you ran a red light or drove through a stop sign, there may be a viable defense or challenge to your Massachusetts OUI charge.

If you can't completely beat your case by getting the charges against you dismissed or winning a not guilty verdict at trial, you may still accept a plea bargain - an agreement between you and the state to have charges dropped or diminished in exchange for your guilty plea on a lesser charge.

If the option of a plea bargain isn't possible, then the case will go to trial.  The stages of a trial are such that Motions in Limine (to allow the Judge to rule on items in evidence that will be brought up during the trial) go first.  From there, jury selection begins.  Once the trial starts, each side has the option to make opening statements, each side presents their case, and closing statements are made.

By working with the prosecutors and court personnel, our DUI Defense Attorneys will have your motions scheduled for later in the day on the court's calendar.  This way, you will see how the Judge analyzes any motions that are heard before your motion is argued, and observe the District Attorney's Office in action.  Think about it:  if the Judges are going to rule for the defense, many will prefer not to do so in front of a courtroom full of lawyers.  Few Judges want to be tagged with being soft on crime.  Our team will be polite, and allow your motions to go last.
